Whatever the weather - a circus show by Hringleikur Circus Company
Whatever the weather is a contemporary circus show that examines the relationship between the weather and ourselves. Weather has always been a major factor of life in the northern latitudes, but modern technology, transportation, and culture has minimized the direct effect of weather on our daily lives. Through acrobatics, aerials, strong visual images and quirky humour Hringleikur draws out the effect that the weather can have on us - the emotions, the energy, the stories.
Whatever the weather is Hringleikur’s first fully produced show and received Gríman, the Iceland Theatre Awards 2021 for best stage movement.
Whatever the weather exists both as an indoor and outdoor version. The production toured in Iceland in summer 2021, at various natural locations as well as in Tjarnarbíó Theatre.
An international tour of Whatever the weather is produced in collaboration with MurMur Productions.
