About us

Hringleikur Circus Company is an Icelandic non-profit member organisation at the forefront of developing the circus scene in Iceland, through the production of circus shows, cooperative projects and events, and through running a youth circus program called Æskusirkus.

Our mission is to strengthen the circus field in Iceland and since our foundation in 2018 Iceland has seen much growth in circus activity; new productions, cooperative projects, workshops and most recently our very own Icelandic circus festival - Flipp Festival, with the first edition taking place in summer 2022.

Since 2021 Hringleikur also runs the first training space for circus in Iceland, where circus artists, enthusiasts and students train at a regular basis. The Hringleikur circus space is located at Sævarhöfði in Reykjavík.

Hringleikur is a member of Baltic Nordic Circus Network and of SL - the Association for Independent Theatres in Iceland.
We are also participators in the Caravan youth circus network as friends of Caravan.
